Individuals who desire to make a contribution to the organization to help support our programs to prevent traffic deaths and injuries are encouraged to send donations to:
Checks should be made payable to the Michigan Resource Center for Health & Safety or MRCHS. Please include your name and address so we can properly acknowledge your contribution and add your name to our mailing list. All contributions are tax-deductible as the MRCHS is classified by the IRS as a charitable, non-profit organization (501.c.3). Our federal ID# is 381107623. Corporations interested in becoming supporting sponsors of MRCHS should complete the Sponsor Contribution Form. Contributions are used to support the purchase of printed traffic safety materials, which are, in turn, provided at no cost to schools, health care organizations, law enforcement agencies, community groups and other agencies which are interested in promoting safer highways. Funds are also used to purchase videotape programs, which are frequently utilized by these same organizations. MRCHS also promotes legislation to reduce traffic accidents. Recent priorities include graduated driver licensing, upgrading of driver education programs, enforcement of safety belt laws and maintaining reasonable and safe speed limits on all roads and highways. |
